Quotation of the Day

POSTED BY MARTIN KICH

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) said on Wednesday that her comment calling Hillary Clinton a “lying killer” was just a “mispronunciation” of the Democratic nominee’s name: “I was trying to say Hillary Clinton. It was a stumble of the tongue.”

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer speaks to reporters outside of the West Wing entrance after meeting with US President Barack Obama on June 3, 2010 at the White House in Washington, DC. Brewer signed a controversial law in April that makes it a crime in Arizona to lack proper immigration papers. It requires local police, who are not federal agents responsible for immigration matters, to determine whether people are in the United States illegally.
