AAUP chapters across the country will be tabling, holding teach-ins, lobby days, films screenings, or other activities as part of National Adjunct Walkout Day this Wednesday, February 25. The day, a grassroots effort, is planned to highlight adjunct faculty labor issues and to insist on fair wages and better working conditions.
Participating chapters include Aurora University, Loyola University, Roosevelt University, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Santa Fe Community College, Oregon State University, University of Illinois Chicago, Northern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, University of Nebraska Omaha, University of Cincinnati, Wright State University, Portland State University, Del Mar College, Front Range Community College, Red Rocks Community College, University of New Hampshire, Stetson University, and Denison University.
More information about the day can be found on the National Adjunct Walkout Day’s website or Facebook page.
Are you planning to participate in NAWD? If so, what will you be doing?
Any chance there’s someone in New Hampshire to widen the coverage to include UNH Manchester too?
