AAUP Supports APSCUF in Struggle for Quality Education, Fair Contract

The following statement was issued by Rudy Fichtenbaum, President of the American Association of University Professors, and Howard Bunsis, chair of the AAUP Collective Bargaining Congress:

“The AAUP and the AAUP-CBC stand in solidarity with our colleagues in Association of Pennsylvania State Colleges and University Faculties (APSCUF) in their struggle for a fair contract.  The administration has offered a contract that will divide faculty, offering lower raises for adjunct faculty and cuts in health benefits while asking some faculty to teach more classes. The faculty have been without a contract since June of 2015. With the support of many students, APSCUF is fighting for a contract that will ensure that students continue to receive a quality education.”
