Artist Michael Pendry adds a white origami dove to his art installation “Les Colombes,” which is being installed at Salisbury Cathedral on May 10, 2018, in Wiltshire, England. The art installation, which features a flock of around 2,500 white origami doves flying the length of the cathedral nave, opens to the public on May 12. Community groups in Salisbury have been encouraged to write their own messages and fold their own doves. The artwork’s installation comes just over two months since the nerve agent attack in the city and while the clean-up continues the artist hopes the artwork carries a message of resilience, peace and hope.
