Support Your Students’ Right to Vote!

We are sharing a unique, non-partisan opportunity for all faculty to bolster voter participation in this critical time. The Nonpartisan College Voter Registration and Education Project aims to increase student voter registration and turnout by asking faculty to devote five minutes of class time to voter education and on-the-spot voter registration. The project leaders (see below) will connect you with a local, experienced, nonpartisan presenter to come to your classroom to do the presentation.

The five-minute presentation will include key information on voter eligibility requirements, voter register procedures, and how to get a ballot by mail or in person. If interested, please go to this link for more information and to sign up. For any questions, please email mrosen@jhu.edu. Thank you!

The Nonpartisan College Voter Registration and Education Project is co-led by Sam Novey, faculty at the University of Maryland Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement, and Michael Rosenblum, professor of biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University and affiliate of the Johns Hopkins SNF Agora Institute for strengthening global democracy. The project is organized through the Johns Hopkins chapter of the AAUP.
